The men of the moment
Haha so the so-called "clan", consisting of Davin, XK, Tennyson, Sean & Vince went out after our final paper to some Iranian parlour. Database Management was a chore anyway but at least it was do-able. Red-Bull & Grape were our flavours. Dear God grape was a complete nightmare!! Pretty rough so yeah! HAHA.

Some pics courtesy of Davin

Dragon-mode ON
Vince being cute as ever =)

Unfortunately Seanie is a tad more cuter
Yeah that's just a few pics. Didn't take too many pictures for security reasons but more importantly, it was a great last night as classmates. Zamzam's food was awesome as ever. Funny to watch the Chinese guys perspiring over the spicy food! HAHA still, really enjoyable night.

Holidays are pack with events.

  • Heading for Parliamentary Budget Debate on the 9th
  • Next day having lunch with Finance Minister (NOT PREPARED AT ALL!!!)
  • Reservist during the 1 week March holidays
  • Cyber-wellness Talk on the 19th? I'm the speaker by the way....
  • Switching course to DBIT right after results are out. Shockingly I did well for Photoshopping. My DDM course coordinators are gonna be pissed at me!!
  • Gonna start of Men in White real soon. Wanna learn more about the old man of Singapore. His struggles, the hard choices & the rationale behind some things our government emphasizes on today.
  • & my weight gaining has to re-start again.
  • & I'm probably going to end up as some "part-time-permanent-fixture" in the AMP YouthHub. Some dude even thought I was staff there!! Hais!!!
& I'm very proud that my YEP kids understood Drake's Equation last Saturday. Seems that there is still hope for this broken, repentant soul.

OK gonna watch United's game with Spurs now. Bayern have been just DISMAL really. Hais!!

Auf Wiedersehen.

Symbolism
Friday, January 20, 2012

V. Vendetta. Revolution.

A man who hides himself behind a Guy Fawkes mask, seeking to rid his nation of a totalitarian government. & right now because of SOPA & PIPA, this man, organisation really, has appeared to fight back.

Is there a point? Is war really what we need now? A future so bleak, it seems cruel to let our children live in.

Who knows?

It is at this point in time that I choose to reflect upon myself. What I have become. Many weeks ago, a girl from my class questioned my coldness, my arrogance & my perceived nonchalantness. My answers frightened her at the time. Looking back, I do wonder what have I become.

Lies.

That is what I am. This persona of arrogance, wisdom, strength, cruelty & ignorance. This is my mask. But while the Guy Fawkes mask is a symbol for freedom of speech, my mask has done nothing but incite hate & fear of me & my actions. Everyone believes all my actions are silently hiding hidden agendas. It seems that the people around me have become nothing but tools for my ascent. Question is, what will I ascend into?

Emptiness.

We often remark that we are nothing without our peers. Indeed that is true. But the problem lies in how we perceive our peers as. Are they tools, weapons of sorts, friends or hope? Even more interestingly is what exactly is a friend? Are they just people you spend time with just for the sake of it? Are they a means to being accepted in society? What are friends? What are they really for?

I don't know.

I have always built this wall of everlasting ice around me. I let snippets of my regret out on twitter & Facebook. At times it's just merely to allow myself to review what I've been thinking about. But sometimes I wonder why I do this? Is this wall of ice really everlasting? Is my ability to open up lost forever in this blizzard of tragedy & self-pity?

Maybe.

Society does not accept those who stand out. Those who defy the school of thought. But while the many greats like Edison, Nobel, King Jr. defied their version of society, I defy but with no purpose. What am I really doing here, right now. All this coldness, insensitivity, whining & what not. What is all this really for? Why is it my mask is so, terrifying? Not just to others but to myself?

Why?

Grom in Death of Hellscream

Yeah these few days I've been rather angry really.Due to nonsensical essays to write, people ignoring me, the weather & basically my inability of achieving anything, yes I am pissed.

Essays
Why on earth do I, a Digital Media student, need to write a marketing essay? & reflections about a class trip? Do I look like a secondary school kid? True my classmates have only JUST graduated from secondary school but come on???

People
People have been generally ignoring me. I hate it. End of story.

& I find some people who can't even bother to stay awake in SMM class fucking irritating. How Fucking rude are you. Think what you a King is it? Joey would agree with me totally.

Weather
Singapore is like a freaking oven these past few days...which is just plain irritating.

Achievement
I had expected to have grasp the basic concepts of Java, Social Media Marketing, Information Technology & Maths. I have yet to properly understand the loop segments of Java, which caused me to do a mini explosion in class. Social Media Marketing is just (             ) to me. IT? With a teacher which doesn't explain what of earth are the technologies there? Who merely tells me MS-DOS etc.. & expects me to understand? & the only reason why I am a pro at Maths is because I already studied the topics.

Enough talk. Let this be finished!

Auf Wiedersehen....

Ranting
Monday, May 09, 2011

Found this on Google. Nice picture of Thrall, Son of Durotan. He's one of my most favourite Warcraft characters ever....along with Death Knight Arthas.

Sheer random-ness really....

I originally intended on ranting out my irritants right now in this post but when it finally came to it, I don't really know what to say. So I'll try my best right now.

I don't know why am I so irritated. It's really more like a sense of frustration more than anything else. But I just can't seem to put my finger to it. There's nothing wrong with my life right now....good course, good classmates (with a touch of insanity) & a somewhat decent home life. Why should I be complaining? I mean my past life was way worst than this. & yet somehow I don't feel satisfied at all. It's like I'm seriously lacking something in my life & I don't know what it is.

Really irritating.

& all my pretentiousness in class is really tiring me out. Everyone knows I'm such a world-class liar at hiding my true nature. JC taught me well I guess...=)

Sleep might be my only respite. I really hate being the leader all the time. But that's who I am. I'm the combative, authoritative, no nonsense shit kind of guy.

Aren't I contradicting myself?

Arghh I need a holiday to sort out my inner wirings really.

Lucky I got this blog to be all emo on it & no one can say anything about it.

Lucky me....Ciaos random passer by

Sunday, October 31, 2010

Ok these days I feel like screaming a lot
Full of anger, rage
happiness, joy
Hence the picture, Sokaro's Madness

& after months of bull-shitting,
sweet talking,
angkat-ting bola(s)
sabo-ing NSFs
running away from duties
being all Godly evil...

My sweet SGT is on my shoulder now...
(insert evil laughter)

& Bayern won, yet again. A 4-2 win over Freiburg.
better than nothing I guess.

Life's good I guess. & I have no idea what the Lich King has to do with my post actually. Just found it nice & I wanted to post it up.

Hope for the best for my university.
I will change the meaning of innovation some day.

Till then..CIAOS

Bayern Back from the dead?
Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Schweinsteiger's double saves Bayern's frightening night in Basel.

When Frei scored the opening goal. I actually thought it was going to be yet another vs Mainz 05 show. Clearly they need a new tough-tackling, no-nonsense defender. Badstuber is clearly not good enough. But credit to his free kick which set up Bayern's winning goal.

& hello Farhan (special mention!!) Consider tagging please. My tagboard is dead. =)

Being a bit more positive right now. VSCC next 2 weeks means freedom from the overly stressful environment. Just not looking forward to the ADO duties...sians.

& I should really forget about getting the 22 year old.

Too mature (I think)
Too into career
She's a lot nicer looking than me
I never had a chance did I?

Wish Allah was nice enough & send me a nice girl to dot on (sheer lol-ness)

300th post
Friday, June 25, 2010

Germany face a high profile clash against England in the Round of 16. Just great. I'll bet that it will end 0-0 & the Germans win it on penalties again. Hopefully Podolski won't miss.

Anyways Italy & France have crashed out. Possibly Spain might join them if they lose out or draw with Chile. The Swiss must secure a better result than the Spanish to secure a last 16 berth. Honduras should prove no major problems for Hitzfeld's side though

South Korea & Japan somehow progressed to the next round. Well done Asians!!

& this is the 300th post on innocentsorrows.blogspot.com

Came a long way really. Started out as a dejected, whinny kid. Now I've matured into a depressive, occasionally happy, worried-about-future 20 year old.

Nice....

I just have this to say...
Sunday, January 31, 2010

I'm selfish.

I just want to win it all.

Never lose, be better than others, outshine the rest.

Yet I've rarely considered other people's feelings. I just don't care about them. If it's not trying to be the best keeper in the court, then is trying to outshine the others & get SGT. Or if not it's just me, glorifying myself & putting down others.

Maybe this was what Justin mean't by being repulsive & unapproachable.

& I'm sick of my habit of making myself look like the victim, all innocent & wronged (if there's such a word)

Maybe it's for the best....

She's found her happiness, without me.

I'd probably make her really sad anyways. I was never good enough for her from the start.

Actually, I never had a chance with her nor anyone in the first place.

"F.C. Bayern Munich 2009-2010"

It's a whole new beginning right now. Starting from scratch isn't easy, but that has to be done. From releasing legend Ze Roberto to 30M euros for Mario Gomez, Bayern have really changed, hopefully for the better.

Plus their all new home jersey is a nicer change to the strippy red & white of 07-09 seasons.

Did you realise the coaches' jackets remind you of the Dutch national away kit? Wonder why? (P.S. Louis Van Gaal is a Dutchman)

Anyway life's been cool so far. Appeal rejected by NTU while admin life is still a TOTAL bore. Chatting with Anthea was a nice reminder of how simple life can really be. & of course, can't forget chilling in the train with all those medic friends =)

& I feel sad, but I just can't put my finger on it. Strange.

"YOU CAN'T BEAT HIM!!!"

Firstly, God should be really happy. He's got a personal entertainer right now. Ciao Black man who turned white. Your songs will live on for as long as humanity exists.

Ciao M. Jackson. Rest in Peace.

Friday was dismally disappointing. Me, Alex & Jasmine plus Jasmine's silent friend had dinner just because loads of 4E1 people suddenly said they couldn't make it. Disappointing really. Guess the class has really moved on.

Chilled out with my NS mates on Saturday. Left for Dead & movie. Megan Fox isn't that hot anymore. Such a rip-off. She's hotter in the first movie than in the second. & the Straits Times critic who gave Transformers Revenge of the Fallen 1/2 a star should quit his/her job. Optimus is plain awesome!! & so is the Concorde Decepticon.

But the movie so totally ended badly. Optimus, upgraded by Concorde dude, took down The Fallen. Thought Megatron would get himself upgraded by Starscream & take on Prime but in the end, they ran away. Wasted.

Starscream is such a weakling, which is disappointing. I expected more from the Decepticon's 2nd in command.

The King & his vengence
Friday, June 05, 2009

Once there was a knight.
Clad in black & steel.
Once the weapon of justice
Now the bringer of doom & destruction

And it was he who walked
Upon the snowy plains of death & sorrow
Soon they rose to serve him
And his cause of justice, pain & death

They who were abandoned
By ones whom they served loyally
Now they seek vengeance
Upon the ones who left them behind

& in the valley of death
He walks undeterred
For in his mind of minds
He thought nothing but them

And the King swore vengeance upon those who betrayed him

I just wanted to try out something different. Don’t think it really worked at all. Doesn’t’ really fit the poem profile but like I said before, I’m not literature genius!

Personally I think this is stupid. How on earth can poisonous gas affect a god-like person like the Lich King?

But I still love his quote, “I will show you the justice of the grave & the true meaning of fear.”

Pure awesomeness.

& MOC is getting more fun. But I want to sleep, hence I’m still pushing for “it”

& it’s like no use talking to her. Shouldn’t have said that I’ve gotten her. Simple mistake really. Sorry Keiran, I’m a bloody liar. HAHA!

Still doesn’t mean I can’t get her…CIAO PEOPLE

POPed & yet I've failed
Saturday, May 23, 2009

Due to the fact my post sounded freakishly gay, I deleted it. I’m going to remove that damned stereotypical comment that I’m over-emotional. & it starts today.

Wait a minute, I’ve said that before. Ha-ha

Sadly I was rejected by NTU. A depressing thought really. But I know I'll try again next year.

Now for more pressing issues

Just like to say that I’m now just a bloody signature away from leaving recruit life & entering the life as a private. No difference really. Pay’s the same & you still have a blank rank. It’s just that now I can say that I’ve passed a few tests.

1) First Aid & CPR test
2) Rescue Equipment Competency test
3) Firefighting test
4) Standard Obstacle course
5) IPPT

Not forgetting the 10km route march. Strangely it didn’t feel like anywhere near 10km. Passing out Ceremony was a bore, kept fidgeting really. & cleaning up the entire company line is seriously no joke; especially for us toilet pros. Foot drill competition was a flop. I, the Cadet Inspector, screwed up the jadikan squad & the fancy drill kebelakang pusing commands. Alpha won it hands down but I think we clinch second, which is comforting. At least Bravo Company isn’t that bad.

I’m quite glad I’ve finally finished BRT & knew I put it my best effort. No regrets really. I pushed myself to the limit & nearly fainted during the NBC suit lesson. Forced myself to look down while climbing down the triple-extension ladder during Final Exercise (I’m beyond frightened of heights)

It was fun being a Trojan. One thing was that my B.O. wasn’t a big deal to my platoon mates (strange only my JC classmates seem bothered by trivial issues like smell)

I think I’ve become the funny guy again. Seems that I’ve made a impression with many as the joker. BRT has really changed me.

Will I miss my Trojans?

Yes. Not all of them though. I’m sure the likes of Farris, Sharilnizam, Calvin & Tim would know who I’m referring to. Ha-ha

I’ll be praying I get posted to NCDCC along with Tim & Sharil. & Farris, I’m sure you’ll get medic=).

& in far more cheerful news, I’ve stopped thinking about her in that way. I find her annoying now.

It’s a good thing really. I’ve got to learn not to care about some people.

By the way, I’m using Microsoft word to type out this post hence the perfect grammar.

"Total Football Revival?"

So the news articles at ESPN were spot on. Louis Van Gaal, former AZ Alkmaar, FC Barcelona, AFC Ajax & Holland manager will take the reigns over at Allianz Arena next season. Will be cool to know that a great manager with a lot more experience is taking charge at the club since old-timer Ottmar Hitzfeld (who is now the Swiss national team coach)

Perhaps a revival of the famous 1970's Ajax Total Football style?

I got a shock of my life when I went on facebook today. I thought she had a boyfriend. Turns out it was a girlish joke, nothing more. But for the 5 minutes I panicked like mad. Does it mean I still have feelings for her? Wow I never saw that one coming really. & here I figured 7 weeks of hell & like 4 months of zero-conversation with her would help.

Apparently it didn't.

This is a bad thing. I wanted to move on but with my current "relationship" not going as well as I've hoped, this will just complicate things even further.

What happened to the good old days of innocence?

I guess it's part & parcel of growing up.

& I'm getting irritated with my imeem player. Why is it playing just 30s of MY uploaded music? Changing player A.S.A.P.

Next week's the best & worst week of my life. Footdrill competition beckons along with route march, final exercise & Passing Out Parade. Made worst by the fact that there has been renewed interest by the PTIs in me. So desperately hoping for a place as a NCDCC instructor. Though I wouldn't mind PTI. Would love the glamour plus way more cash!

Perhaps blogging tommorrow. CIAO

Saturday, April 04, 2009

Initially I got this idea from Justin, except I won't be telling people to press Ctrl + A at all. Thanks for the idea Justin. Wanted to get it out without people noticing to much. Then again my only reader is apparently Justin Ng.

I think I'm losing my mind. I want to say it's an emotional phase but it doesn't feel like one. Supposedly due to my teenage hormones, I may feel mentally worked out. But I know this isn't the case. I want to say it's stress but I know I am not in any way stressed out. I want to call it depression yet I doubt it since there's nothing to be depressed about. It's been all good for me until now.

The last few days have been an internal struggle for me. A struggle to stay sane & be positive, or be absorbed by madness & just die away. Of course I don't really show it as I am brilliant in hiding my feelings except when I want to let it be known. I've been put off from eating even my favourite Mcdonalds' meals. Games don't really cheer me up. I can't even talk to my own sister about this, let alone my friends.

I don't know what's wrong. Maybe it's the loneliness getting on my nerves. Or is it something I don't know, something that I can't explain?

Can't wait to enlist, maybe it would heal my mind a little.

I shall slip into my madness,

Alone...
Unwanted...
With no one to be my saviour...

A healthy soul resonates in a healthy body & a healthy mind.

Do I still have a soul left?

By the way Justin, Andrea is JUST a friend.

Tuesday, March 03, 2009

Lately to get my mind off Friday (Damn it I remembered!) , I've been reading sports articles on ESPNsoccernet. & I came across this particular article.

Man Utd lining up Ribery to replace Ronaldo?
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=623983&sec=europe&cc=4716

Immediately you think, why on Earth would United let Ronaldo go? But lets move away from the English perspective & move to the German viewpoint.

In the last few years there have been loads of high profile Bundesliga-to-Premier League/La Liga moves. Bayern's Ballack to Chelsea, HSV's Van Der Vaart to Real. & yet when you want to think of a EPL/La Liga - to - Bundesliga move, you simply can't. The most high profile moves were Chelsea's Pizarro to Werder (who used to play for Bayern), De Jong to Man City from HSV & Voronin of Liverpool to Hertha Berlin.

Gentle reminder: They were only loan moves.

It seems that the Bundesliga & Ligue 1 have lost their pride. Just once I would actually want to see German clubs fight to keep their star players. It's almost ridiculous that everytime the Bundesliga creates a star player, he's off to the La Liga or EPL the next season. It's no wonder Germany fares so "well" in UEFA Champions League knockout stages. For the record, currently only Bayern are in the competition.

The entire Bundesliga is becoming a nonsensical feeder league to Spain & England. No wonder the league standard has fallen. Why? Simply because French, German, Dutch & Portuguese clubs are totally less successful than their English or Spanish counterparts. It's like the clubs give their players little or no reason for them to stay. It seems that Bayern & their associates have lost their bloody pride in themselves.

In Football Manager, clubs are ranked according to national, continental & world-wide. In the Bundesliga, only Bayern are ranked continental. I dare not say anything about the French or Dutch clubs.

& for the record, I'm sick & tired of English, Italian or Spanish clubs buying their way to success. Disagree if you want, but the reality is that 3/4s of most of their squad aren't even associated to England, Spain or Italy respectively. Most of them have line-ups totally based on foreigners (notably from Germany, France, Holland or Brazil)

Why on Earth is there a lack of fight amongst what I would brand them as high-profile, totally well-known but sadly feeder clubs? I shall never understand.

& though Ribery's "move" to United is probably misquoting, it raises issues of the deteriorating league standards in France, Germany & many other European countries.

It's like there's no point in even calling the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 & many others a 1st Division league.

Most Singaporeans may never understand where I coming from, due to our British history & biasness to the English Premier League. But I'm sure out there in cyberspace, there are some of you who understand my concerns & reservations.

At least I do dare to say I'm a Bayern Munich fan with utmost pride. Sadly, some players might think differently.

At least that was a nice change from my usual weeping state. God bless Friday!

Friday, January 23, 2009

It was always a daily ritual. Me & my sister popping the DVDs & watching non-stop for hours. We even kept it playing even though I was playing Warcraft & she was doing her own stuff. Yet it was today that was special.

Here, a bunch of 29-30 year old adults hanging out at Central Perk like there was no tomorrow. All of them were totally different, from a palaeontologist to a chef to a hopeless actor. & yet they were all bonded by the simple threads of friendship.

It got me thinking, how I had those kinds of bonds with my friends. My social circle too was equally diverse, from somewhat gangster-like people to devoted church-goers, classmates who I’d once despise to even a 24 year old soccer buddy. & yet the ties of friendship kept us together for nearly 3 years, some even more.

& those same friends gone think & thin with me, from horrific O & A levels to my soccer-scaring incident to competitions & simple daily life. & yet we never think about how valuable these friends really are. Even the ones who I’ve fought with are still considered as friends. Really the threads of friendship do overpower the simplistic fights between true friends.

"But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour.
I'll be there for you, like I've been there before.
I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me too."

So the next time you meet your friends take a step back & think about how much they really mean to you.

Arrogance
Thursday, January 15, 2009

Been having a few rough nights finding work & worrying about results. & yet last night proved extremely odd for me.

This person had out of the blue decided to talk to me. Nothing but a simple request. But what struck me so odd was the way I had replied. I spoke with such confidence & pride, seemingly trying to put this person down. But why?

Why is it that people choose to be arrogant? Why bother with keeping up with this facade? Why try to delude others with this mask of pride?

The whole night I wondered. Then the answer appeared so easily...

I hated this person. I wanted this person to feel bad. I wanted this person to suffer.

Yes, nothing but cheap vengence.

If you've been reading this, you'd think I am cruel & insane. You'd think I have no right to act God-Like.

But think about it, was there ever a point in time that you wanted to play God, wanted to be empowered, wanted to rule over others?

If you haven't, you're not human at all.

Odd, unemployment seems to allow me to improve the contents of my post recently.

Well, Israel is invading Gaza once again. Some people call it an act of aggression, others call it self-defence. I personally call it a waste of time.

Who can blame the Isralites who are constantly being bombarded by Hamas rockets? But the one thing that ticked me off was when Israel bombed a mosque on Friday. As one would know, prayers are on Friday & this act of shit simply disgusts me. It is no wonder that Israel has absolutely no allies in the Middle East.

It got me thinking.

Question: Why do wars occur?
Answer: Because humanity is stupid.

Question: How can we stop these attrocities?
Answer: It's my quote.

"For the preservation of our pure & blue world, humanity must end."

It really is a disgusting piece of truth.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL VIEWPOINT,NOT A MEANS TO INCITE ANYTHING.

Thursday, January 01, 2009

First things first,
I finally fixed the blogskin. It's a lot nicer than before & picture credis to me!!!

So 2009 has finally come at last at the expense of 2008. So goodbye 2008 hello 2009!

2008 has been a tad disappointing. From the highs of my first soccer competition to my lows with my own class, it's been a rollercoaster year really. It's time to forget all the misery & cherish all those happy memories that I've enjoyed in 2008.

Of course the new year resolutions is a must!

SHAZLY's NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
1)Get a job
2)Do decently well in A levels & earn my spot in the NTU's Arts & Design faculty
3)Improve on the goalkeeping
4)Not screw up during NS
5)Brush up on that Malay
6)Mix around more with my TRUE friends (not the ones who backstab me like fuck)
7)Not blow up or get suspicious so much
8)Get a Bayern jersey
9)A new pair of soccer gloves
10)A laptop
12)Be loyal & true to Die Routen
13)WATCH MORE ANIME!!
14)What's anime without the Japanese music?
15)Of course help out with CBSS NPCC whenever I can.

& finally, meet a nice, cute girl who won't do me over.

Yup so screw you 2008, all Hail 2009!

& I'm still clueless as to who's the dumbass tagging my blog as members of Bayern Munich. Pathetic really.
