"Get Smart people!"

This was a show in the 1970s about a secret agent name Agent 86, Maxwell Smart. He goes about fighting the forces of evil which are backed up by an international secret organisation named KAOS, led by Siegfried. Smart, working for US' "Control" fights KAOS along with people like 99, the Chief & many others.

This was real humour. Today's funny means some form of insult to people or things but Get Smart showed real genuine humour. Smart's actions & lame jokes were the basis of the humour. Even their secret agent tools were unique, a shoe-phone, a wrist-watch-phone, chemicals which drained water bodies & even an invisible shield.

Genuine humour at it's best.

& here's the deep thinking again...

I've cracked up jokes before, but generally they've been nothing but insults really. A majority of modern jokes are insults really. So what happened to genuine humor? Why is it that society today has become to critical & abusive to people?

What happened to the innocent days?

Think about it.

It was always a daily ritual. Me & my sister popping the DVDs & watching non-stop for hours. We even kept it playing even though I was playing Warcraft & she was doing her own stuff. Yet it was today that was special.

Here, a bunch of 29-30 year old adults hanging out at Central Perk like there was no tomorrow. All of them were totally different, from a palaeontologist to a chef to a hopeless actor. & yet they were all bonded by the simple threads of friendship.

It got me thinking, how I had those kinds of bonds with my friends. My social circle too was equally diverse, from somewhat gangster-like people to devoted church-goers, classmates who I’d once despise to even a 24 year old soccer buddy. & yet the ties of friendship kept us together for nearly 3 years, some even more.

& those same friends gone think & thin with me, from horrific O & A levels to my soccer-scaring incident to competitions & simple daily life. & yet we never think about how valuable these friends really are. Even the ones who I’ve fought with are still considered as friends. Really the threads of friendship do overpower the simplistic fights between true friends.

"But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour.
I'll be there for you, like I've been there before.
I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me too."

So the next time you meet your friends take a step back & think about how much they really mean to you.

Arrogance
Thursday, January 15, 2009

Been having a few rough nights finding work & worrying about results. & yet last night proved extremely odd for me.

This person had out of the blue decided to talk to me. Nothing but a simple request. But what struck me so odd was the way I had replied. I spoke with such confidence & pride, seemingly trying to put this person down. But why?

Why is it that people choose to be arrogant? Why bother with keeping up with this facade? Why try to delude others with this mask of pride?

The whole night I wondered. Then the answer appeared so easily...

I hated this person. I wanted this person to feel bad. I wanted this person to suffer.

Yes, nothing but cheap vengence.

If you've been reading this, you'd think I am cruel & insane. You'd think I have no right to act God-Like.

But think about it, was there ever a point in time that you wanted to play God, wanted to be empowered, wanted to rule over others?

If you haven't, you're not human at all.

Odd, unemployment seems to allow me to improve the contents of my post recently.

It may sound stupid but if you had the chance to turn back time & change just one thing in your past, what would it be?

It's a hard question to answer. I can assure you on that.

The first instinct would be to have never entered junior college. Most of the people reading this blog would think so too. So many horrors have happened since I’ve been there, some my fault whiles others somehow become my fault through sheer manipulation or bad-mouthing.

But then I realised that if I’ve never gotten the chance to go there, I’ve wouldn’t have met so many nice people, from soccer mates to council buddies to even occasional college acquaintances. Do I really want to give up on that?

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Why is it that people hate me? For further references please look at the tagboard on the right. The best part is he/she isn’t the first. I’ve meet some people who hated me once but today they’re my good friends. Boon Hong was a classic example. He hated me on the first day of secondary school. Yet today we’re CI buddies. Odd isn’t it?

Some of my associates tell me I stink, literally. So okay fine then. Does it give you the right to bitch & ostracize me like this? Does it give you the right to insult me like this. I honestly do wonder.

& yet despite all of this, the answer is no.

This isn’t something I would change.

If given the chance, I would have somehow tried to prevent my parents from splitting up. If we’ve continued being a nice, happy family, we probably are having a nice life.

By “we” I mean my family by the way.

Imagine that.

Well, Israel is invading Gaza once again. Some people call it an act of aggression, others call it self-defence. I personally call it a waste of time.

Who can blame the Isralites who are constantly being bombarded by Hamas rockets? But the one thing that ticked me off was when Israel bombed a mosque on Friday. As one would know, prayers are on Friday & this act of shit simply disgusts me. It is no wonder that Israel has absolutely no allies in the Middle East.

It got me thinking.

Question: Why do wars occur?
Answer: Because humanity is stupid.

Question: How can we stop these attrocities?
Answer: It's my quote.

"For the preservation of our pure & blue world, humanity must end."

It really is a disgusting piece of truth.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL VIEWPOINT,NOT A MEANS TO INCITE ANYTHING.

Well because someone came up to me complaining about my tag...I have this to say.

To the great misterious "R",

I do quite wonder who you are. You misterious ways of tagging my blog & insulting me are rather interesting. Normally I wouldn't care too much but it's 2009 & I'd like to start off on a clean slate now. So please, cheers & tag you name would you?

& please don't continue using the names of FC Bayern players, it's an insult to them.

& to dear Zhang, Gabriel & Esther, your names merely examplify those classmates who have tagged here before. & if it was you guys, screw you & watch out.

If not, I'm terribly sorry for the trouble caused.

Then again, I haven't got the time to entertain no-life-idiots-from-0723B so here's the phrase to end it all...

Cheers & goodnight!

First things first,
I finally fixed the blogskin. It's a lot nicer than before & picture credis to me!!!

So 2009 has finally come at last at the expense of 2008. So goodbye 2008 hello 2009!

2008 has been a tad disappointing. From the highs of my first soccer competition to my lows with my own class, it's been a rollercoaster year really. It's time to forget all the misery & cherish all those happy memories that I've enjoyed in 2008.

Of course the new year resolutions is a must!

SHAZLY's NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
1)Get a job
2)Do decently well in A levels & earn my spot in the NTU's Arts & Design faculty
3)Improve on the goalkeeping
4)Not screw up during NS
5)Brush up on that Malay
6)Mix around more with my TRUE friends (not the ones who backstab me like fuck)
7)Not blow up or get suspicious so much
8)Get a Bayern jersey
9)A new pair of soccer gloves
10)A laptop
12)Be loyal & true to Die Routen
13)WATCH MORE ANIME!!
14)What's anime without the Japanese music?
15)Of course help out with CBSS NPCC whenever I can.

& finally, meet a nice, cute girl who won't do me over.

Yup so screw you 2008, all Hail 2009!

& I'm still clueless as to who's the dumbass tagging my blog as members of Bayern Munich. Pathetic really.
