A 33rd minute flick by Fernando Torres gave Spain their second senior level trophy in the History of Spanish football. Villa & Xavi won awards for being the top striker and the M.V.P. of EURO 2008
Germany may have been defeated & Ballack may be just the "nearly" man but I'm still proud to call myself a German Fan. They had their moments again Poland, Austria, Turkey & especially Portugal. I believe this will be the beginning of something.

Ok I didn't like the Prelims so I went for soccer today. & it was totally brilliant. A 5 match winning streak. Then 1 more win out of 2 more matchs. 6 wins & 2 losses. Conceded just 5 goals today with a clean sheet of 4 matchs. Statistically this was one of my best Mondays ever!
Chemistry tommorrow. Jiayo to whoever's taking the paper tommorrow.

"Friday review"
Preliminary exam no 1. If only I didn't panick.
Maths..Initially I was quite ok with it. THei I panick at complex numbers for both Paper 1 & 2. Then the lost of nerves ended my dreams of passing. Sorry Ms Goh.
Chem..MCQ was ok. Do-able but I feel bad about Paper 2. I didn't have time to cover Chemical & Ionic equilibrium & Electrochemistry & Transition Elements. So the things I managed to finish were related to Organic Chemistry. That one also was lousy. Loss of nerves.
Geography..Essays were ok. "(see map)' was always there in my essays, Even for Development! & alot of blue lines for rivers. & I'm one of the rare people who requested the map.
DRQ..no comment.
Economics was ok so far in Case Study. Have to wait for Essasy to make a full assessment.

"It's finally here"
This is it. The semi finals of the UEFA EURO 2008 are finally here. & what a lineup we will be seeing. Never did anyone expect such 4 brilliant sides to survive. Comeback Kings Turkey, War machine Russia, The Armada of Spain & "Mannschaft" Germany. 4 great sides with 4 totally different styles of play. This will be a good tournament.
Tonight(actually 2:35am tommorrow for us Singaporeans) sees Germany take on Turkey in the St Jakob Park of Vienna, Austria. Turkey will definitely be without six players and possibly more depending on how they respond to treatment before kickoff. It may even be possible that Turkey will have only 15 players avaliable. Jokingly Fatih Terim(Turkish Coach) wanted to play the reserve keeper in an outfield position.
An opposite story for germany who will have all 23 players avaliable. When Torsten Frings was injured for the quarter-final against Portugal, Loew took the bold decision to play a new 4-5-1 system with Simon Rolfes and Thomas Hitzlsperger as holding midfielders and Michael Ballack free to get forward as much as he could. But with Frings back, Germany may revert to the traditional 4-4-2 or perhaps replace Hitzlsperger.
Away from soccer, my presents have been completed. & I am still worried for that girl(previous post). Chemistry tommorrow & I believe I can pass. Seems ok to me. & I WILL NOT PANICK!!

"German saviour Philip Lahm"
Right today's Day One of Prelims. & I must say it's been going horrendously wrong. Initially I could handle Maths. Then came question 3. Totally for that particular instant I forgot how to do it. Panicking now, I moved on. Here's the problem, when I panick...It all goes downhill. Econs was a big improvement. Handled Market Structure well but stumbled a bit for Macro Case Study.
I have the day off tommorrow, which will be devoted to revisiting Chemistry. I can't believe I didn't finish Organic Chemistry yet! Never mind then...Chem tommorrow after which it's full speed into Maths Stats & Geography. But I don't feel too worried about Geography nor Stats. Though NEED TO BRUSH UP ALOT!!!!!
& NOT PANICK!!! DAMMIT!!!
I dunno why but I realised that I have blogged for 5 consecutive days. I guess it's all the football going on. But seriously, I NEED to stop blogging like this. It's crazy really. Only crazy people do this sort of stuff.
Anyways read Bleach & this new manga..Absolute Boyfriend. Read one chapter..swore never to read it again. Such a masculine-degrading manga. Went back to Eyeshield & D Gray Man.
& someone made me laugh accidentally. It's been a long time since I laughed...
& I'm worried about a little girl who is sitting for her Os this year. Why won't she open up to us remains a mystery. I have no honest idea why am I so worried about her...

"Spain ends curse of 22"
David Villa,Santi Cazorla,Marcos Senna,Cesc Fábregas scored penalties for Spain while Italians Fabio Grosso & Mauro German Camoranesi tried their luck. But in the end it was the Spanish Armada that prevailed. Both Buffon & Casillas were tested throughout the match by Luca Toni of Italy & Villa of Spain. But poor shooting & some good keeping forced it to extra time. Where the shot came & gone past the post. Penalties came in & Spain won it 4-2.
Russia faces off with Spain in the next match. Before that is the first semi final between Comeback Kings Turkey & 3 time Champions Germany. The Euro 2008 has truly seen some miracles & a few good sides. Injuries aside(Swiss captain Alexander Frei & Nihat of Turkey), this tournament has been a sensational competition.
Exam is tommorrow. Maths & Economics in the same day. At least no paper on Wednesday but Chemistry follows on Thursday. The week ends off with Maths & Geography. This means no Soccer nor NPCC for 2 weeks. Sian. Such a boredom.

"Oranje Disaster"
Substitute Dmitri Torbinski and man-of-the-match Andrei Arshavin struck in the last eight minutes of extra time to take Russia into the UEFA EURO 2008™ semi-finals at the expense of the Netherlands as Guus Hiddink eliminated the nation of his birth. I cannot believe Holland lost that match 3-1.
& everyone is asking what happen to the Dutch defence. Especially the left side. Poor marking ensured that Russia would see this game out easily. Van Der Sar & Snejider were easily the best players for Holland but they could do little against a Russian attack force that ran like clockwork. Absolute disaster. & Edwin Van der Sar & Marco Van Basten leave the international stage on a low note.
Russia's semifinal opponent are either Spain or Italy. Without Gattuso & Pirlo, Italy looks set to struggle in this match. But with a stormy Spain right now, they may just be able to pull off a win. Unless Torres & Villa can kill off the Azzurri
Exams are nearing. Not fully prepared for the exam but will do my best. But at least no school on Monday!

"Rustu saves!"
Ok firstly, Rustu is 35 years old. He's too old for international football. He & Lehmann should quit their countries. Secondly I can't believe Turkey won eventhough Rustu made all sorts of unwise judgments & howlers. SO many times Rustu should have claimed the ball, so many times he just stood there. But his penalty save was world class.
Now Comeback Kings Turkey take on 3 time Champions Germany in the semi final. But with nearly all their stars out on suspension, Germany look to be hot favourites. Plus Podolski & co are better at capitalising Rustu howlers than Olic & Klasnic. Now with Portugal & Croatia out, the tounament is wide open. Can Arshavin & Russian comapny upset Oranje Holland? Possible. Can Spain find the way to take down Italy? Maybe. It's a close call for the last 2 quaterfinals.
Had soccer yesterday. Was never my day really. That's the problem about picking an all out attack squad Jacky. But it was fun. Although now my leg is bleeding. & it hurts.
& D Gray Man 88 wasn't so nice. But Bleach 175 was ok.
& I AM SO TOTALLY GOOD ENOUGH FOR XT TO SLAP OK!!!

No idea why, but I simply love the phrase. It's so cool & yet so femenine. OMFG I'm acting girlish. SHIT!!

Nevermind...Oh ya one more thing before I dwell into football. There are many possible future CIs.
& on to football. Portugal vs Germany. Rematch of the 3rd-place showdown? Scolari claims stopping Ballack is the key while Bierhoff claims Ronaldo is Portugal's man. Worse of all, no Joachim Loew on the bench. I honestly think it was a STUPID mistake. He didn't do anything wrong. Guess have to respect UEFA's decision.
Personally, I hope Cristiano Ronaldo breaks his legs & Podolski fires home the winning goal for Germany. 3-1 again!
As long as Mario Gomez doesn't play. Hitzelspeger ought to get a starting place.

Austria vs Germany? Ballack was absolutely briliant with the free kick. But why the hell did Gomez play? & the ref is nuts.
France vs Italy? Hope the two sides draw. Let Romania win Oranje!
Russia vs Sweden? It's make or break. See if Arshavin can inspire or will it be Ljungberg's night?

1...Germany lost.
Podolski fired a consolation goal as Srna & Olic fire Croatia to a 2-1 win over mighty Germany. I am ABSOLUTELY STUNNED!!!
2...Romania drew
Mutu..Adrian Mutu absolutely rocks. Such an inspiring man. Poor thing he couldn't score teh winning penalty. Buffon saved it..nice one I admit.
3...France got whacked totally
4-1. Holland. Unbelievable.

God my lovelife sucks. HAHA!

Revision's a bit slow. Actually very slow.
Just finished Geography...Maths Stats...Econs Macroeconomics..
Got a lot do do still..JIAYO!!
& lately I've been feeling odd. I finally finished the 30 letters to them & there's a nostalgic feeling about tose letters. Guess it's partly remeniscing the good old Sec 4 days. & I can't stop thinking about her...sians
Enough crap..get back to the real world.
Soccer was painfully good yesterday. Made some saves, including a one-hander from Dhana that apparently flew out of the court! Awesome!! But it's tough being the only goalkeeper around..You're always in hot demand.
BTW there was soccer today!
& it was absolutely horrendous. Guess this is call fatigue. Can barely move but still pulled off nice saves...not a total lost. PLUS Shawn came..LIKE FINALLY!!!
Live from Klagenfurt...Germany 2-0 Poland!!!
Podolski double sends 3 time Euro Champions to a win. Croatia also won..1-0. But the surprise was in Group C. World Champions Italy crash 3-0 to Holland!!! & Mutu-driven Romania held powerhouse France to 0-0 draw. Impresive indeed!
Tonight sees "underachieving power" Spain take on impressive Russia who murdered England by the way. Euro 2004 winners Greece face off with Sweden, another dangerous side.
Honestly, I think Spain will slaughter Russia & lightnig won't strike twice for Greece. Probably get mobbed down by Larsson.

"Coaches of Group B" Austria-Germany-Croatia-Poland
Finally Euro 2008 is underway. Sadly Czech Republic beat the Swiss 1-0. Totally brave play by the hosts but a pity Frei got injured. It's a sad story for coach Kuhn.
Turkey got totally outclassed by Portugal 2-0. Eventhough Ronaldo didn't score, I guess the problem was Turkey's a confused side.
& I want to be in Klagenfurt. I want to wear a German jersey. I want to be cheering on Germany. But those are all wants & wants only.
Anyways tonight sees Austria vs Croatia & Germany ve Poland.
Can't wait!

"Euro 2008"
Yeah I'm suppose to be studying. & I am by the way. Been trying to finish Geography..by tommorrow will be done for sure.
& I'm totally excited about Euro 2008. With World champions Italy with Les Bleus France, Mutu-driven Romania & Oranje Holland all in Group C, it's gonna be a great tournament.
Once again Italy,Spain, France & Germany are favourites with Portugal & Russia being surprise packages. & I wouldn't write off the Swiss nor the Greeks. They are good sides as well.
Not expecting much from Poland & Austria though. Austria is not on form & neither is Poland. But this is Euro 2008. Anyhting can happen.
Can't wait for the opener. & my blog is Euro 2008 based now.

"Us on the last day"
It seems odd to realise that this was the finale for my NPCC career. Sadly it was only for 12 months. But I can never forget the wonderful memories that NPCC has ever given me. When I found life getting tough in Innova, be it my class or my council, I always found comfort in my cadets and NPCC. There were times when their nonsense was irritating, but to me, it was part of being a CBSS NPCC cadet.
These were the little messages the kids gave to me during the Annual Camp & the CL Camp. Kept them proudly in my room.
This is my bedroom wall. As you can see, the heart they gave me is smack in the middle, along with my other important pictures. & if you were wondering, the 3photos displayed are 2E3 04, 4E1-06 & 0723B. They are so important to me...
The running of the camp wasn’t smooth, especially on Day One. But the Sec 4s somehow stuck together, grit their teeth at 4am to plan out Day 2 & 3 activities. In the end, debrief wasn’t a waste at all. They improved spectacularly.
The cadets gave me a heart memento for the campfire. & I had a song tribute…peeping through the window…lol to the maxlah.
Those cadets really made my day.
& thanks Dun Hui for showing to me what it means to be a true CI.
Thank you CBSS NPCC for 6 wonderful years as a member of your family. It's only goodbye for now.
