There comes a point in time where we take stock of our lives
Coming Monday is my A level Malay exam
following that would be PW OP
& now that I'm at my milestone in JC life
I ought to be reflecting on what I've done
& suddenly I found those pictures of my ex-class
& I think to myself..
Life back then was great
the class was funny to the core
Me & Alex were idiotic at the back
maybe not idiotic...
4E1 was great...
really great...
the class was fun..
Teachers were awesome
the after school programme was world-class
(We were suppose to be mugging for our Os...but soccer was the main agenda)

Toni Kroos, the 17-year-old tipped by Ottmar Hitzfeld as FC Bayern München's playmaker of the future, came off the bench to score a dramatic UEFA Cup Group F winner at FK Crvena Zvezda.
Dramatic end Twice the 1990/91 European champions led in Belgrade, through Ognjen Koroman and Nenad Milijaš. But each time Miroslav Klose levelled, and four minutes into added time substitute Kroos, who only a few minutes before had created the second equaliser, scored direct from a free-kick after Crvena Zvezda's Miloš Bajalica had been sent off.
Koroman opener The home crowd were in fine voice and Bayern were put under pressure early on. Sixteen minutes in the Serbian side were ahead as Koroman went past Philipp Lahm, making a comeback from a knee injury, and struck an angled shot past Michael Rensing.
Immediate reply Bayern's reply was almost immediate with Klose reacting quickest to the rebound after Lucio's shot was parried by goalkeeper Ivan Randjelović. Klose nearly scored again before the break but his volley was hit straight at Randjelović and he headed Lukas Podolski's cross over the bar.
Home side ahead Koroman came close to a second just before the hour after robbing Lahm and bounding up the pitch but shooting wide. Bayern were playing a cautious game, and were punished in the 74th minute as Milijaš advanced and was given space to send a dipping shot in from 20 metres.
Kroos turns game
Bayern needed to respond and with nine minutes to go Kroos was introduced for only his third first-team appearance. Within five minutes his whipped free-kick was headed in by Klose and not long after Bajalica was given a second booking, another Kroos set-piece flew straight in to secure the points.

Miroslav Klose twice equalised before sub Toni Kroos’ dramatic stoppage time winner saw never-say-die Bayern claim all three points in a scrappy but hard-fought UEFA Cup group opener in Belgrade on Thursday.
A 38,000 crowd at the venerable stadium known locally as the Marakana saw Ognjen Koroman master the atrocious playing surface for long enough to fire the home side into a 16th minute lead against the early run of play, but Klose continued his prolific scoring run with the equaliser just four minutes later.
Super sub Kroos
Lucio’s massive presence at centre-back appeared to have kept the Serbs at bay after the interval, only for Nenad Milijas to net with a speculative long-range effort a quarter of an hour from time. But the Bundesliga leaders were not finished yet and Klose levelled for the second time, scoring his 11th goal of the season in his first European appearance for Munich from sub Kroos’ 85th minute free-kick.
With the Serbs down to ten men after Milos Bajalica collected a second yellow card, Bayern’s gifted youngster Kroos threw over the set piece deep into stoppage time which evaded friend and foe alike and sent Bayern to the top of Group F after rivals Bolton and Braga played out a 1-1 draw.
Three changes
With Luca Toni, Martin Demichelis (both flu) and Franck Ribery (strain) ruled out on Wednesday morning, Bayern’s starting line-up featured Lukas Podolski alongside Klose up front and Bastian Schweinsteiger wide on the left, with fit-again Philipp Lahm returning from an eight-week lay-off to fill the right-back role, Christian Lell moving inside to partner captain Lucio at centre-half.
The attendance was well below capacity, but the crowd still created an intimidating atmosphere at the Crvena Zvezda stadium in the Serbian capital, although the hostility from the stands was less influential than the shocking state of the pitch as the players struggled for control and accuracy in an untidy first half.
Sides trade early goals
Red Star interim coach Milorad Kosanovic fielded a youthful side with an average age of just 23, featuring an exotic front two of Ecuador star Segundo Castillo and Argentine newcomer Hernan Barcos, but it was Bayern who made the early running as Hamit Altintop twice failed to connect from promising positions.
But the home side had a shock in store for the Bavarians when former Portsmouth midfielder Koroman collected a crossfield pass and turned Lahm with a neat flick before unleashing a left-foot drive across Michael Rensing and inside the far post.
Munich kept their collective cool and were level just four minutes later after Lucio strode forward purposefully and fired at goal from long range. Deceived by the awkward bounce, keeper Ivan Randjelovic spilled what should have been a routine take and Klose mopped up in characteristic fashion.
Red Star fight back
The action cooled for a spell now, but although Rensing was forced to clear with a fist on 29 minutes and then carefully follow the flight of Milijas’ deflected free-kick, Munich had the better of the chances. However, Klose saw a clean strike taken by Randjelovic, before the striker’s uncontrolled header drifted wide following a good thrust down the left from Podolski.
Koroman drove across the face of Rensing’s goal in an eerie re-run of his earlier scoring effort as Red Star rallied with half-time approaching, and the Serbs maintained the initiative through to the hour mark, although their attacking efforts frequently foundered on the towering rock of Lucio at the heart of the Bayern defence.
Altintop ushered in a better period for the visitors with a shot narrowly over the bar on 63 minutes, before Lucio’s thunderous free-kick caused pandemonium in the Red Star box, although Ze Roberto was penalised for using a hand.
Drama at the death
Bayern certainly appeared to have weathered the storm before Milijas took aim after 74 minutes, but the looping effort from fully 30 yards took an evil bounce just in front of Rensing and crept into the corner of the net. Jan Schlaudraff had just replaced Altintop, and Hitzfeld now sent on Kroos for Van Bommel in a final throw of the dice.
The young prodigy duly responded with the wickedly curling free-kick which Klose forced over the line off his shoulder, but former Rostock youth Kroos had one more ace up his sleeve as his free-kick with practically the last kick of the match somehow found a way through a forest of legs to seal the dramatic late victory, sparking gleeful celebrations on the visiting bench and among the 650 diehards who had made the long trip from Bavaria.

The duel with the 1992 European Cup winners “could well be our most difficult group match,” warned Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge before boarding the flight to the Serbian capital on Wednesday morning. The situation has been exacerbated by a crop of late withdrawals from the Bavarians’ squad, although Rummenigge insisted that would not change the club’s self-proclaimed goal: “We want to finish top of the group.“
Seething cauldron awaits
“We’re looking forward to the challenge. Red Star Belgrade is a name redolent with tradition,” commented coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, describing the trip to the Balkans as “a chance to learn something new.“ The boss felt Thursday’s opponents were “talented and technically sound, well equipped in every area, and very well organised.“
A passionate 54,000 crowd at the Marakana stadium would raise the temperature to boiling point, Mark van Bommel predicted. “If the crowd spots their team has a chance of taking something from the game, they’ll be totally fired up and it could be hard for us,” reflected the Dutch ace, once a 3-2 loser with PSV Eindhoven in Belgrade. Added Michael Rensing: “We can expect a very, very hostile reception, it’ll be a real fight.“
Ninety percent ‘not enough’
The runaway Bundesliga leaders would require “cool and experienced heads“, according to Hitzfeld. “We mustn’t be put off our game by all the commotion.” On the other hand, Van Bommel and Co. must ensure they are not penned back in defence for the whole match. “We need to give it everything and play to our full potential,” Rensing observed. “Ninety percent won’t be enough to win any games,“ Van Bommel concluded.
The five late withdrawals from the squad on Wednesday have left Hitzfeld with few selection alternatives. Christian Lell, “currently in great shape“ according to the boss, will partner Lucio in central defence, with right-back Philipp Lahm tossed in at the deep end after almost eight weeks out with injury. “I wasn’t going to bring him back until Dortmund next Sunday, but now he’ll have to grit his teeth and start the game. Let’s see how long he lasts,” Hitzfeld observed.
Confident dressing room
Bastian Schweinsteiger returns to the starting line-up in place of Ribéry, and Lukas Podolski deputises for Luca Toni alongside Miroslav Klose. “Poldi has plenty of strengths too. We have a very good understanding, as we’ve shown for Germany. I’m sure he’ll do well,” Klose declared confidently.
Confidence is certainly not in short supply among the squad, reduced to just 16 men by the spate of withdrawals. “It’s the first group match, and important to start with three points. It would allow us to approach the remaining games calmly and confidently,” Rensing remarked, a statement echoed by Hitzfeld: “We’ve set our sights high for this competition and we need a decent start. In other words, we want all three points.“
