This is an opinion piece. This is my take on the world. Society is dying. Our world is dying. And we quite frankly have no idea what to do about it.
Be warned, I did mention religion in this post. It is slightly biased towards Muslims. And It is pro and anti governmental in nature.
Just read it with an open mind. And ask yourself, what happen world?
This is my ode to the world...
We live in a world where racism permeates society.
In our beautiful game of football, players curse each other with name calling that goes beyond the red, blue or yellow of their jerseys but their skin tones. Referees make racist comments apparently? Where football clubs are ridiculed for defending their players against racism just because their captain made a racist comment? Or where legendary managers and power-wielding footballing politicians wade in and try to impose their views on others?
Our society shows little concern with the subtle racist actions of our own leaders. Our trains belch out Mandarin pronunciations of our favorite train stations. Where Malay names are translated terribly, almost comically into Mandarin. What benefit is there to pronouncing the station name in Mandarin when no one had problems understanding English announcements for decades? Where our bus drivers are pretty much Chinese mainland? Don't get me wrong. I know local bus drivers still exist. But I have yet to see a Chinese mainland bus driver speak decent English to me. When will we see the day our national language changes from Malay to Mandarin? How long can our society remain oblivious to this subtle racism?
Racism. Racism everywhere.
And financial aid depends on the race on your identification card? Or that tutors must be non-Malays as race impacts teaching ability. Or that looks play a role in educating students?
Racism. Narcissism. The flaws of society are really showing.

We live in an era where bombing countries which you are not at war with is OK? Where the leader of the most powerful nation in history must support you. I have no quarrels with Israelis but it is their flawed and almost blind government that annoys me. They preach that Islam is out to kill the Jews with anti Semitic acts? That the world practically hates a Jewish state. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the Quran, Bible and Torah essentially teaching similar things? Aren't the preaches of the Al-Mighty in those books? How truly different are Muslims, Jews and Christians?
Horrific.
The acts of a few tarnish the reputation of millions. Mindless murders in the Gaza strip, bombings in embassies or even the horror of 9/11. Mindless, unjustified and practically unholy acts claimed to be made in the name of God, defense or nation.
Lies.
The only solution is the greatest problem.
We live in so much fear. Even as I'm typing this, ISD is watching every word. Waiting for me to say something criminal. For the record I am a fan of our old man LKY. He will not get insulted in front of me. His son on the other hand disappoints me.
The few good people left in this world are too afraid to do anything. Our media blinds us with propaganda, hatred and lies until the line between fact and opinion blurs. What then? What do we do? Is this a pointless struggle? Have we degraded so much as a species? As a culture? As a global community?
In the 1900s people were asked to envision the life in 2000. Many imagined flying cars, international trade, space exploration, time travel, disuse of arms, equality for all, freedom of speech and acceptance of the fellow human being despite his/her difference.
Today ask the same question and they describe you this...
